Beware of Hoax Emails
Spam, phishing, and hoaxes, Oh, my! Beware of suspicious emails. These emails may look official, but they can be extremely harmful to your computer. These emails often times compromise your personal information.
So what do you do when you see an email like this:
"Tax Type: INCOME TAX
Issue: Unreported/Underreported Income (Fraud Application)
Please review your tax statement on Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website (click on the link below):
review tax statement for taxpayer id: 00000174073547US
Internal Revenue Service"
~ or this ~
"Attention! Your Paypal account has been compromised! Log in here to check!"
~ or this ~
"Sunbank is now Ally Bank. Login to your account to confirm."
Do not open them. Immediately delete these types of emails.
